When the time comes to find home health care services for your elderly parents, there are many different services in Burton, MI. Here at Comfort Keepers, we know how hard choosing the right one can be. However, at Comfort Keepers, our motto is simple, "To provide each of our clients with the finest level of care possible for them." Our goal and that of our caregivers is to treat your loved ones as we would want to be treated and we will settle for nothing less because we know you won't.

Here to Work with You and Your Loved Ones

Our caregivers are among the best in the business, and you can count on us to know what we are doing. But, when it comes to knowing what your loved ones need, we know that only you and they can know what services are needed and how often you need one of our caregivers. The last thing we want is for your loved one not to look forward to their caregiver coming in.

We start by sending your Personal Care Manager to your home to meet with you and your loved one for your free in-home consultation. Our goal is to work with you to develop a list of fully customized home health care services designed to meet your loved one's needs both now and as they change in the future. Our care plans are purposely designed to be flexible so that we can adapt them to meet your loved one's needs no matter how complex.

Interactive Home Care

At Comfort Keepers, we believe so much in providing the finest care, that we developed our own version we call "Interactive Caregiving™." With our form of caregiving, we choose our caregivers just as much for their ability to interact with their clients as for their ability to perform their jobs. Our caregivers are available on a part-time, full-time, around the clock basis (in shifts).

Our Four Standards of Care

At Comfort Keepers, we live by the following four standards of care, the same concepts our company was founded upon and that our home health care is powered by.

  1. A healthy active mind – part of keeping our client's as healthy, is to keep their minds as active as possible.
  2. A healthy active body – plenty of exercise (based on capabilities) is a vital part of your loved one's health.
  3. A nutritious diet is crucial – one of the many things a senior needs for maximum health is a nutritious diet, our caregivers can help provide this.
  4. A safe home is critical – our caregivers help to keep your loved one's home free of safety hazards and safe to live in, including for those with dementia & Alzheimer's disease.

About Comfort Keepers

When Al Jones, a retired UAW skilled trades worker and Deborah Jones, part owner in a home cleaning service, started Comfort Keepers 10 years ago they understood the ups and downs that sometimes accompanies caring for a loved one. They started their business when they realized the need for an in home care company with a compassion and care for seniors they sought for their own mother. They envisioned a company that would provide families with compassionate caring people who treated their loved ones with the kind of care they would give to their own families.

Both Al and Deborah are Certified Senior Advisors (CSA) and Certified Dementia Care Practitioners (CDP) which give them the expert knowledge to help their clients and families create a plan that will give you or your loved one’s peace of mind knowing your comfort will always be their top priority.

Ten years later, because of Comfort Keepers, they have successfully given this compassionate in home care to loved ones all across Genesee and St Claire counties. Comfort Keepers now has 600 franchised offices in the United States, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, Comfort Keepers has been named by INC. Magazine as one of the fastest growing franchise systems in the U.S. We were rated a "World Class Franchise" by the Franchise Research Institute in May 2009 and were listed in the "Top 200" list by Franchise Times in Oct 2009.

Al and Deborah contribute the success of the Genesee and St Clair County Comfort Keepers to the quality of their Comfort Keepers. Our Philosophy

Interactive Caregiving™ is based on four primary pillars, which Comfort Keepers leverage to care for, engage, and interact with our clients:

  1. An active senior mind promotes independence, better mental and physical health, happiness, and a longer life.
  2. A physically active senior maintains strength and independence, lessening or delaying the effects of aging.
  3. A well-nourished senior is more energetic, both physically and mentally.
  4. A safe senior lives in an environment that reduces the likelihood of accidents and promotes timely response when illness or accidents occur.

With our Interactive Caregiving approach, we are able to raise seniors’ quality of life to a much higher level than typical in-home care providers.
